In Search of Memory - The Emergence of the New Science of the Mind

Nobel Prize winner Professor Eric R Kandel, Columbia University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, will give a public lecture at LSE on Wednesday 16 May. He will examine the themes raised in his new book, In Search of Memory - The Emergence of the New Science of the Mind.

Eric R Kandel is Kavli Professor and University Professor at Columbia University and senior investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Professor Kandel won the Nobel Prize in Physiology in 2000 for discoveries concerning signal transduction in the nervous system.

Professor Nikolas Rose, LSE, will chair this event.

In Search of Memory - The Emergence of the New Science of the Mind is on Wednesday 16 May 2007 at 5.30-7pm in the New Theatre, East Building, LSE, Houghton Street, London WC2A. This event is free and open to all with no ticket required, entry is on a first come, first serve basis.
