Janez Potočnik, European Commissioner for science and research, will give a public lecture on European research, on Tuesday 25 April at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Janez Potočnik is European Commissioner for science and research, a position he has held since 2004. Prior to this, Commissioner Potočnik was Slovenian minister for European affairs from 2002 to 2004 and acted as head of negotiating team for the accession of Slovenia to the EU from 1998 onwards.
Professor Kevin Featherstone, director of LSE's European Institute, will chair this event.
