Three of China's big four banks are now quoted on the Hong Kong exchange. Full WTO membership is around the corner, but some in China are now calling for a halt in the reform programme. What can we expect in the next year?
Howard Davies will give a public lecture on Tuesday 17 October. He will explore financial reform in China: what next?
Howard Davies is Director of LSE. Since 2003 he has been a member of the International Advisory councils of the China Banking Regulatory Commission and the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
Dr Lawrence Saez, of LSE's Asia Research Centre, will chair this event.
