Sir Derek Wanless, chairman of Northumbrian Water Group, will give a lecture regarding his thoughts on social and health care today. The lecture will take place on Tuesday 21 November at LSE and will be followed by a reception from 7.45 to 9pm.
Sir Derek is author of the 2002 independent review entitled Securing Our Future Health: taking a long-term view, the first ever evidence-based assessment of the long-term resource requirements for the NHS. He also carried out the 2002 Health Trends Review at the request of the chancellor of the Exchequer, is a commissioner with the Statistics Commission, and a non-executive director of Northern Rock PLC.
Reflections on Social and Health Care is on Tuesday 21 November at 6.30pm in the Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House, LSE, London WC2A. The event is free and open to all with no ticket required. The reception will be held in the LSE Atrium, Ground Floor, Old Building, LSE.
