Financial Systems and Economic Development: the case of Angola

Deputy prime minister of the Republic of Angola, Dr Aguinaldo Jaime, will give a public lecture on Angola's economic development, at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) on Tuesday 2 May.

Angola has in recent years moved away from a socialist economic management model to a free market economy. In his lecture, Dr Jaime will reflect on recent developments and explain the government's plans for Angola's economic development.

Dr Aguinaldo Jaime is deputy prime minister of the Republic of Angola, and heads the government's economic team which oversees the implementation of the government's economic strategy.

Professor Jo Beall, LSE, will chair this event.

Financial Systems and Economic Development: the case of Angola is on Tuesday 2 May 2006 at 6pm in the Old Theatre, Old Building, LSE, Houghton Street, London WC2A. This event is free and open to all with no ticket required.
