We at the School would like to express our most heartfelt condolences and sympathies to all students, staff and alumni who are personally affected by the devastation created by the South Asia earthquake.
This terrible tragedy and its long-term implications for the region have shocked the world. Our thoughts go out to those individuals caught up in these disasters, their family and friends, and those working so hard in rescue and humanitarian operations currently underway.
The School can offer counselling to LSE students and staff affected by the tragedy who are in London. There are student and staff counsellors available. For students, please contact the St Philips Medical Centre 020 7955 7016. Staff counsellor Monica Larkin is on 020 7955 6216.
For students, if your family has been affected by this disaster and/or if you are considering travelling to the region, please talk with your tutor/supervisor. If you need to discuss related financial issues, please contact the Financial Support Office on email@example.com or attend a confidential drop-in session between 1-2pm daily.
The LSE Students' Union is also working with its societies on any particular help and support they can give.
