Make Poverty History - is it really possible?

For the first time in history there has been a very real sense (at least in the UK) that extreme poverty will be eradicated in the world. Barbara Stocking, director of Oxfam GB, will give a public lecture at LSE asking is it really possible on Monday 28 November.

She will explore the implications of the major steps forward on aid and the challenges this brings for developing countries themselves.

Professor Jude Howell, director of the Centre for Civil Society at LSE, chairs this event.

Make Poverty History: is it really possible? is on Monday 28 November at 6.30pm in the Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House, LSE, Aldwych, London WC2A. This event is free and open to all with no ticket required.
