Ali Babacan, Turkish economy minister, will give a public lecture at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) on Thursday 18 November. He will speak on Opportunities Beyond the Bosphorus: Turkey and the European Union
Ali Babacan is the Turkish minister of state in charge of economy. In 1994, he acted as the chief advisor to the Mayor of Ankara and secured continuous financing for the important projects of the city during the economic crisis of Turkey that year. In 2001, he became a founding member and board member of the Justice and Development Party.
Opportunities Beyond the Bosphorus: Turkey and the European Union is on Thursday 18 November 2004 at 4pm in the Shaw Library, sixth floor, Old Building, LSE, Houghton Street, London WC2A. This event is free and open to all with no ticket required. Entry is on a first come, first serve basis.
