Javed Akhtar to speak at LSE

Award-winning Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar will be speaking at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) on Wednesday 10 November at 2pm in the Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House.

This event is hosted by the LSESU Indian Society and Film Society and will be chaired by Professor Lord Desai, author of Nehru's Hero: Dilip Kumar in the life of India (Roli, 2004).

Javed Akhtar will be speaking about the development of Indian cinema and what lies ahead as the industry grows outside its traditional sphere to attract a broader global audience.

There will be a question and answer session after the talk. The event is open to students, staff and alumni of LSE.
