Friday 26 September is European Day of Languages, which celebrates all the languages which are spoken in Europe (not just European languages). LSE will be marking this day with a range of activities.
The Language Centre at LSE will be concentrating on awareness-raising and leafleting staff and students, and they will also be carrying out surveys. The Brunch Bowl will be specially decorated for the day and will feature a special international tapas menu with dishes from around the world.
Nick Byrne, who is director of the LSE Language Centre and chair of the Association of University Language Centres said: ' This a key date in the diary for anybody involved in languages or language learning, when the celebration of linguistic diversity, plurilingualism and the idea of lifelong learning is championed.'
