Capitalism and Welfare: what model for Europe?

Tuesday 28 January, 6.30pm
Old Theatre, Old Building

With economic liberalism firmly in the ascendant across the world, how should Europeans adapt their post-war social model to address new challenges to the welfare state and make sure that capitalism maximises the welfare of all?

Carlo De Benedetti will be speaking on Capitalism and Welfare: what model for Europe? on Tuesday 28 January at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Carlo De Benedetti is executive chairman of CIR and COFIDE, founded by De Benedetti in 1976. He is vice chairman of the European Round Table of Industrialists, adviser to the New York Stock Exchange and chairman of Sogefi.

Professor Paul Taylor, director of the European Institute, LSE, will chair this event, which is free and open to all. No ticket is required.
