President of Brazil's speech - transcript details and apologies for technical problems

LSE would like to apologise for the failure of the video link from the Peacock Theatre to the Old Theatre at the lecture by the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, on Monday 14 July.

We are sorry for any inconveniences caused and further to investigation have found that the link between the two venues had been tested a day before the event and was working forty-five minutes before the lecture commenced. The Audio Visual team worked intensively to reconnect the link as quickly as was possible and were successful in retrieving a Portuguese sound feed a short way into the lecture and a picture towards the end.

An English version of president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's lecture will be shortly available on this website, together with a transcript of his additional comments.
