Robert S McNamara, former US Secretary of Defence, will speak on US Foreign and Defence Policy for the 21st Century on Tuesday 7 May at LSE.
McNamara will be joined by a panel of specialists, Robert Brigham and James Blight, to debate the issues of moral and multilateral imperatives and the problems faced by great powers in intervention and nuclear disarmament. What lessons can be learned from the 20th century for the 21st?

James Blight is Professor of International Relations at Brown University
All are co-authors of Argument Without End: in search of answers to the Vietnam Tragedy.
