The World Risk Society Revisited: the terrorist threat?

Professor Ulrich Beck will be speaking on The World Risk Society Revisited: the terrorist threat on Wednesday 13 February at LSE.

He will be looking at the impact 11 September and terrorism in general has made to the idea of a world risk society, and examining issues such as how we should view the global risk society we live in.

Ulrich Beck is the British Journal of Sociology Visiting Centennial Professor at LSE and Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Munich.

Professor Anthony Giddens, director of LSE, will chair the event, which is free and open to all but a ticket is required.
