Public Space and the City: Barcelona and the European urban tradition

Joan Busquets, leading international practitioner and theoretician in urban design, will be speaking on Public Space and the City: Barcelona and the European urban tradition at the London School of Economics and Political Science on Thursday 5 December.

Joan Busquets was involved in planning the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and the new developments along its waterfront. In this illustrated lecture, he will give a critical account of the urban policy and regeneration strategies in Barcelona over the last 20 years.

Joan Busquets is a professor at the Graduate School of Design, Harvard, and Professor of Urban Development at the Polytechnic University of Barcelona.

This lecture is free and open to all. No ticket is required.
