Professor Claudio Ciborra will speak on The Social Study of Information and Communication Technology: the next challenge on Thursday 24 October at LSE.
He will highlight present and future directions for the study of the impacts of information technology on the workplace, business and public institutions and consider a variety of platforms, ranging from peer-to-peer architectures, to enterprise planning systems and e-government applications. The design implications of these will be examined from multiple perspectives: efficiency; risk; governance; growth and development.
Claudio Ciborra is Professor of Information Systems and PricewaterhouseCoopers Professor of Risk at LSE.
