Pascal Lamy launches new LSE programme

EU Trade Commissioner Pascal Lamy, a key player in the globalisation and regulation of world trade, will speak at the London School of Economics and Political Science on Thursday 1 February at the launch of LSE's new Global Dimensions programme.

Commissioner Lamy's talk will be on Harnessing globalisation: do we need cosmopolitics?

The event will take place at 6.30pm in A85, after which the Commissioner will answer questions from the audience. The event is open to all.

Global Dimensions is a new programme looking at globalisation and global governance. It comprises a series of seminars held around the world and a research programme with several distinguished appointments. The programme is based at the LSE's Centre for the Study of Global Governance under its Director, Professor Lord Desai, and is managed by the School's consultancy arm, Enterprise LSE Ltd.

The programme has been made possible by a generous grant from BP.
