Former President of the Philippines at LSE

Fidel Ramos, former President of the Philippines, will be speaking at the London School of Economics and Political Science on Tuesday, 7 March.

Mr Ramos's lecture, organised under the aegis of LSE's Asia Research Centre, will address New Initiatives in Asia Pacific.

Fidel Ramos succeeded Corazon Aquino as president of the Philippines on June 30, 1992, having served as secretary of national defense in the Aquino administration. He was also a key figure in the military revolt which gave rise to 'People Power' and the political downfall of the late President Marcos.
