Secretary of State for Health to speak at LSE

The Rt. Hon. Alan Milburn MP, Secretary of State for Health, will give the LSE Health Annual Public Lecture on Wednesday 8 March.

Mr Milburn will speak on A Healthier Nation and a Healthier Economy: The NHS Contribution.

This is the sixth annual public lecture organised by the LSE research centre, LSE Health. Chairing the event will be Professor Julian Le Grand, Chairman of LSE Health.

The lecture will take place at 5pm, in the Hong Kong Theatre, Clement House, LSE, Aldwych, London WC2A. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

  • LSE Health was established in 1994 as a multidisciplinary research centre, aiming to produce and disseminate knowledge about health and care issues, with a particular focus on international health policy.
  • Research programmes have been, and continue to be, financed from a wide variety of external bodies, with general support for major programmes coming from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the UK Department of Health, and the European Commission.
