LSE Graduation Ceremonies

The graduation ceremonies for the London School of Economics and Political Science will take place on 15 and 16 July. More than 800 students will be receiving their degrees at ceremonies in LSE's Peacock Theatre.

The School will also be conferring Honorary Fellowships on:

  • Professor Kader Asmal MP, Minister of Education, South Africa;
  • Alumna Mrs Rachel Lomax, Permanent Secretary, Department of Social Security;
  • Alumnus Mr Shandi Modi, Chief Executive Officer, Institute for the Development of Economic Analysis (IDEA);
  • Sir Peter Parker KBE LVO, Chairman, Mitsubishi Electric Europe BV, Whitehead Mann Group PLC and LSE Board of Governors, 1989-99; and 
  • Lord Wolfson of Marylebone FBA, Chairman of the Wolfson Foundation.

The Court of Governors of LSE formally elected these Honorary Fellows on 10 December 1998. LSE currently has around 150 Honorary Fellows.

The award of Honorary Fellowship is the School's highest honour and no more than six Honorary Fellows are elected in any one year.
