Fatma

Fatma Mahfouz AbdelAziz
MSc Public Policy and Administration


Originally from Egypt, Fatma recently graduated from the American University in Cairo with a BA in Economics (Highest Honors standing).  She joined her course at LSE in an attempt to bridge the gap between theory and practical implementation. Her  interests include economics, behavioral public policy and psychology.  She has a great passion for academia and aims to take what she learns at LSE to teach in Egypt, while taking part in the current political reform in her country and pursuing a career in consultancy.

Heba Hesham
MSc Gender,  Development and Globalisation


Heba has recently graduated from the American University in Cairo, having majored in Economics (with minors in Anthropology and Development Studies). She is the co-founder of ‘Heya’ (She), Egypt's first student organisation to focus on mobilising students towards empowering women and gaining an understanding of the gendered angle of social issues. Her interest in the field began with an internship with UN Women, after which she went on to participate at social entrepreneurship and women's leadership conferences in Chicago and Frankfurt. During her studies at LSE, she will focus on feminist economics and population policy in Egypt.

Hiba Nuseibeh
MSc Conflict Studies


 

Hiba is from Jerusalem, Palestine. She graduated from Birzeit University with a BA in Political Science and Economics (with distinction). She was an active member in the students' committee at Birzeit University, where she was elected Students' Representative for the Political Science department. Hiba has a Diploma in group facilitation and mostly works with conflict groups. She has also worked for the Department of Law and Public Administration at Birzeit University before coming to LSE. During her studies at LSE she wishes to focus on post-occupation and statebuilding in Palestine.
