LSE Annual Gulf History Lecture

The Kuwait Programme co-funds the LSE International History department's annual Arabian Gulf History Lecture. The lecture complements the undergraduate History of the Gulf course that started in 2011, and is targeted at a diverse audience of students, academics, policy practitioners, and the general public.

2015

The second lecture was held on 26 November 2015, with Professor Wm. Roger Louis from the University of Texas speaking on the 'End of Empire: Britain’s withdrawal from the Persian Gulf'.

The first lecture was held on 23 October 2014, with Professor James Goode from Grand Valley State University speaking on '"A Matter of Life and Death for the Country”: The Iranian Intervention in Oman, 1972-1975'.
