CONVERSATION21

Running from 19 November to 7 December, the Middle East Centre presents conversation21, an art festival focused on the lives of young people in the Middle East and North Africa today. Generously sponsored by the LSE Annual Fund|, conversation21 looks to go beyond the often top-down, theory-heavy, talking head focus on the recent uprisings to hear directly from 20 and 30-somethings living in countries throughout the region. Over two weeks, through photography, film and music in various LSE venues and an assortment of events, young people from Tehran to Tel Aviv, Istanbul to Rabat, in a total of 21 different cities, will give us a peek into what they are thinking about and witnessing from where they stand. Their voices, images and films start a dialogue. You make the conversation.
