Andrew Gardner, Assistant Professor of Anthropology in the University of Puget Sound's Department of Comparative Sociology, will discuss his recent book City of Strangers: Gulf Migration and the Indian Community in Bahrain.| His work in the region explores transnationalism, specifically transnational labour. He is also interested in environmental anthropology and the political ecology of rural and urban peoples of the Arabia Peninsula.
