Welcome to the Department of Methodology
Please find below some information which you may find useful in your time before joining the School and during your first few days here.
Orientation Week will be held from Monday 29 September to Friday 3 October 2014. During this time, events will take place in the School including lectures, tours, talks and the LSE Students' Union Freshers Fair.
Please check the Orientation events page for further details of events taking place around the School.
During Orientation Week you will also need to register for your course (please see below).
The School Orientation Meeting for MSc Social Research Methods students takes place on Tuesday 30 September, 10.30-12.00 in the Peacock Theatre. The presentation will fill you in on life at the School, registration, etc. Please note that the School Orientation Meeting is in addition to the Departmental Orientation being held later in the week.
The Departmental Orientation Meeting for MSc Social Research Methods students will take place on Friday 3 October, from 3.00pm (please see our Facebook page for more information, or contact Esther Heyhoe). We will have a range of speakers from around the School who will offer useful advice and information. Confirmed speakers include representatives from TLC, LSE Library, Language Centre and LSE Careers. You will also have the opportunity to meet members of the Department. If you have not received details regarding the Departmental Orientation event and believe you should have, please contact Esther Heyhoe.
Registration for MSc Social Research Methods students will take place in the Hong Kong Theatre on Tuesday 30 September, 2.30pm - 3.30pm. Please see Programme Registration for further details of what to expect at Registration and what you will need to bring with you in order to register.

International Student Immigration Service (ISIS)
ISIS provides detailed advice for International students on their website which is updated whenever immigration rules change and at the drop-in service in Student Services Centre. ISIS also run workshops for students offering advice on all aspects of the immigration process.
