Finland has long been one of the top countries for internet use, and compared to the European average, many more children go online at school and at home, but only a little more via mobile phones. Finland belongs to the group of northern European countries where children are "experienced networkers", encounter more sexual risks online and their parents guide and actively support their internet use. Finnish children have a lower number of online activities than children in most European countries but they still stand out in terms of safety skills.
