• While 14.8% of the participants use the internet for 2 hours or more a week, 72.9% of them prefer not to use it during the week. • 76.1% of the students have known the concept of ‘internet’ for more than four years. • 63.9% of the students want to set up their web pages on the internet. • Males access the internet weekly for academic purposes more than females. • However, there are no significant differences between males and females’ internet use purposes (48.4% of the students use the internet for academic purposes) and the places where they access the internet (most preferable were internet cafes, at 61.9%).
