• This report describes the lives of Turkish, Moroccan, Surinamese, Antillean and indigenous city-dwellers in the Netherlands. It also looks at the division of tasks within families, at their voluntary activities, at the media they use, how much time they devote to culture and sport, and how mobile they are.
• The focus here is thus not on the ‘familiar’ problems, but on the daily lives of a large section of the population of the major cities in the Netherlands.
