• Regarding their online activities younger children (10-14 years old) mention social networking fourth. For older teens (15-18 years old) social networking, along with searching for information, is the second most popular online activity. • There are gender differences concerning social networking. For instance, almost 35% of girls (15-18 years old) have created an SNS profile compared to 30% of boys. • Over 80% of children aged 10-14 never give out personal information easily when online. • 60% of younger boys and 50% of younger girls have given false names online.
