• 26.5% of the sample spend 1 hour online per day, 22.5% up to 2 hours, 16.5% between 2 and 4 hours and 12.9% more than 4 hours per day.
• Main online activities are: pursuit of personal interests (90.5%), search of school-related material (80%), download of music, films, games (72.5%) and watching videos on YouTube (69%); 7 children out of 10 make new friends or keep in touch with pre-existing friends through social networks and MSN Messenger, which have replaced email.
• 11.5% have been offended or have received sexual messages by someone their age on the internet; 7.7% have been groomed by an adult; moreover, 8% of the interviewees report meeting online an adult pretending to be their age.
