|
• 71% of children in Slovenia use the internet; 46% of those use the internet several times a day.
• A good half (57%) of the children and youth first used the internet at home.
• There is a difference in social network usage between age groups. In the 8-10 age group only about 22% of children use social networks. In the next age group (11-14) this rises to two-thirds (71 %) of children.
• The study showed that 32% of children think that chatting over the internet is less enjoyable than talking in person.
• 68% of children use social networks in Slovenia while 42% say they use them every day.
• The research shows that 51% of children aged from 11-19 did not have experience with harassing comments.
• 65% of children search for the information they needed on the internet.
