Getting Here

The workshop will take place in the New Academic Building at LSE. Located in Central London, LSE is easily accessible by a range of public transport including tube, rail and bus. London Airports to Central London

  • Heathrow You can reach Central London via Heathrow Express (to London Paddington) or London Underground (Piccadilly Line).
  • Gatwick You can reach Central London via Gatwick Express (to London Victoria) or other regional rail services (to London Victoria, London Bridge, or St Pancras International).
  • Stansted You can reach Central London via Stansted Express (to London Liverpool Street) or bus (to London Victoria or London Liverpool Street).
  • Luton You can reach Central London via bus (to London Victoria) or train (to St Pancras International).
  • Southend You can reach Central London via train (to London Liverpool Street).

Tube/Underground stations

  • Holborn (Piccadilly and Central lines) - on the corner of Kingsway and High Holborn. Approximately five minutes away.
  • Temple (District and Circle lines) - on the Embankment at the bottom of Arundel Street. Approximately five minutes away.
  • Charing Cross (Jubilee, Northern and Bakerloo lines) - on the Strand at the Trafalgar Square end. Approximately ten minutes away.

British Rail stations

  • Waterloo - other side of the River from the Strand over Waterloo Bridge. Approximately 10-15 minutes away. Trains to and from the south coast and south west of England.
  • Charing Cross - on the Strand at the Trafalgar Square end. Approximately 10 minutes away. Trains mainly to south east London and into Kent.
  • Blackfriars - on the Embankment near Blackfriars Bridge. Approximately 10 -15 minutes away. Trains mainly to south London and south east England but also the First Capital Connect line through north London.
  • St Pancras International - on Euston Road, close to King's Cross mainline station. Take the Piccadilly Line from King's Cross to Holborn, from where it is a 5 minute walk away (see 'Holborn' above). Serves the Eurostar and trains to the Midlands.

Each bus stop should show which buses stop there and their frequency. On the front of the bus the final destination will be given. It may also show the names of the main stops on its route.
