  • The project aims at investigating the peculiarities of (new) mass media information perception by Russian youth. The findings are based on the results of the interviews with young people: schoolchildren and students in a big provincial Russian city. The participants represent the sampling, which is believed to be rather informative in drawing conclusions about a certain segment of the audience. It is concluded that the rise of the computer-mediated communication has provided the young Russian audience with alternative choices of information sources; however, the consequences of these alternatives are yet to be explored.
