James Deeley is Department Manager in the Department of Media and Communications at LSE.
James has responsibility for the overall administration of the Department, including strategic planning and resources, development of new programmes and courses, expanding and developing the professional services teams, and input into governance. He works closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Department to ensure the Department meets all its responsibilities and expectations.
James has been at LSE since 2009, and has also worked in the Departments of Gender Studies and Geography and Environment. He has a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Linguistics from The University of Manchester (2005) and an MSc in Sociology from LSE's Department of Sociology (2017).
