Media, Individualisation, and Changing Family Relations in Contemporary China

Hao's research project aims to understand the relation between the changing media-related practice and the changing family relations in the Chinese cultural context. By answering these questions, she tries to join the broader debate of how and to what extent various media forms are embedded into people`s everyday life, as well as their roles in modernity, social change and the construction of identity.
