Exams, Homework and Feedback

Undergraduate Examinations in Mathematics|: information on how you might go about revising for an exam, how you can get help from the Department, what is expected of you on the exam, and how we go about marking and grading the exam.

Feedback on Student Work| - Grading:| an explanation of the Mathematics Department's homework grading scheme, and how the weekly homework system provides students with regular feedback on their progress.

TLAC Review of Mathematics

TLAC Review of Mathematics 2011
The five-yearly review of the Mathematics Department by the School's Teaching, Learning and Assessment Committee (TLAC) took place in February 2011. The purpose of TLAC Reviews is explained here|. The department is asked to submit a Departmental Statement ahead of the review, and ours can be found here|. The committee's full report, following the review and which is published in Word format, can be found by clicking here|. The department was asked to make a formal response to the review one year after it had taken place, in the form of an implementation report, and you can view this, in PDF format, here|.
