Abstract: Diane Pecorari "Best practice for handling source use and misuse in student writing"

The difficulties that novice academic writers experience in using sources appropriately are well known. Effective ways of managing those difficulties are still needed, though. This paper will highlight several aspects of source use which contribute to student difficulties, and will outline a range of strategies which can be effective in promoting appropriate source use and responding to problems.
