About the Faculty group

We are a centre of expertise on information technology (IT) innovation and concomitant organisational and social change. We study two interrelated processes of innovation:

  • Information systems and organisational change in business firms and public sector agencies as well as in multiple forms of collaboration across formal organisational boundaries
  • The formation of digital infrastructures, their information content, the range of services they enable and the organisational processes they support.

Our research concerns the development of conceptual foundations and explanation of emerging organisational phenomena associated with IT innovation, and the management of IT-enabled organisational and social change. We have developed context specific knowledge of IT innovation and socio-organisational change in a diverse range of domains, including developing countries, public sector, health care, financial sector.

The Faculty group currently has an exciting competition for final year undergraduate students. Please take a look at our  LSE Digital Innovation Challenge.|
