In facing increasingly complex global economic challenges, LSE as the world's best institution in the field of social science has provided me with a concept of how modern management should be implemented in an organization without overlooking the foundation of economic theory which has underlined the market behavior of the 21st century political economy.
My main responsibility as Director of Human Resources and Risk Management is to implement strategy into a work plan and to ensure sustainable competency enhancement for human resources associated with the application of risk management systems, and good corporate governance within organization.
I am strongly confident that all the knowledge I have gained from the Executive GMiM programme at LSE can be connected to the practical world to support my career as a successful banker, and I do hope I will be able to pass this knowledge on to the people in the organization that I lead, to enable them experience the benefit of implementing state-of-art management theory into practice from a world-class School of Economics as well.
The courses in Organizational Behaviour, Managerial Economics and Foundations of Management have equipped me with new insights into how these theories explain market imperfections in the recent global economy, and challenged my intellectual concept of how to apply the right tools to find most efficient solutions, especially for emerging markets with different cultural and historical backgrounds.
I am gaining a solid understanding of many aspects of economics and management from the best sources of professors, teachers, speakers and professionals within LSE, as well as knowledge sharing from my diverse cohort within an intensive period of time. This will help me to accomplish better management policy reform and decision making processes in the work place immediately. The modular format of this degree has provided excellent opportunities for me to grow and remain competitive as a professional without leaving my responsibilities in the work place.
