BSc Management student
Class of 2012-15
Personally, there were two factors that drove me to come to LSE. First of all, I was attracted to LSE because of its prestige, and the world-class education that it offers. Visiting on one of the open days only confirmed this further, and I knew that I wanted to eventually leave my own legacy here. Secondly, I really wanted to experience the vibrant and multicultural life that exists in London. As I grew up in Asia and attended international schools my whole life, I wanted to continue having this “melting pot” of cultures around me, and so LSE was the perfect place to go!
On my course, the BSc in Management, we have 80-90% international students. I believe that this really adds to the education we receive here, as you are constantly exposed to opinions of people from around the world. Management
attracted me because it’s multidisciplinary. You obtain a basis in a wide range of subjects, and you learn to appreciate how they are interconnected in real life. Unlike some other courses, there is a strong emphasis on applying the skills and theories we learn, which will undoubtedly help us when we look at our future career paths.
