Assistant Professor of Employment Relations and Organisational Behaviour
Dr Tara Reich is a Lecturer in the Employment Relations and Organisational Behaviour Group. She received her BA (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario in 2005, and both her MA in Social Psychology and her PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Manitoba.
Dr Reich has published her work in the Journal of Business Ethics, the Journal of Social Psychology, and the APA's Handbook of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Dr Reich's research interests are broadly in the area of employee well-being, with a specific focus on the psychology of workplace aggression. Tara's dissertation research investigated how observers are influenced by witnessing aggression in the workplace. Specifically, she aims to understand (1) how the perpetrator and the target's formal and referent power influences observers' attitudes and behaviours towards the perpetrator and the target; and (2) the extent to which observers' perspective-taking influences observer attitudes and behaviors towards perpetrators and targets.
