Rachel joined the Department in October 2017. Prior to joining, Rachel worked at Imperial College London, delivering careers coaching and skills development initiatives to BSc, MSc and PhD students across a range of different programmes. Over the course of her career to date, she has acquired professional experience across a number of sectors including higher education, government and the oil and gas industry.
Rachel obtained an MSc in Career Management Counselling from the Department of Organisational Psychology at Birkbeck University. She previously gained experience supporting the professional development of LSE students as a member of the LSE Careers team between 2008-2012. She then worked for several years at Aramco Overseas Company, the European division the Saudi Aramco, managing a university scholarship programme.
Rachel has wide ranging experience of teaching and facilitating groups and was recently awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
In addition to her role at LSE, Rachel is also a psychotherapist, having undertaken her training at Tavistock Relationships.
