Priyanka Pandey

PhD student in Information Systems and Innovation

Biography

Priyanka Pandey's main interest lies in ICT innovation for rural development. She believes that the nature of technology devises its own innovations within its specific environment. Users devise their own language with the situated use of technology many a times leading to improvised/disruptive practices. This disruption when in sync with inclusive development can lead to profound developments. She hopes to establish a causal link between Technology innovations and rural development and understand what technological innovation really means in terms of rural development and eGovernance.

She has also in the past worked as a research associate at the Center for eGovernance at the Indian Institute of Management. She has worked on several ICTD projects such as the computerization of the transport office in Gujarat, India and the need for Benchmarking in the public sector in India. She has been awarded the WZO Trust Scholarship and the  KS Jain Educational Foundational scholarship for the year 2014-15.
