PhD student in Management
Biography
Laura is a PhD candidate in the Department of Management at the LSE under supervision of Dr Barbara Fasolo and Prof Amitav Chakravarti. Her background is in experimental psychology. She holds a BSc and MSc in Experimental Psychology from the University of Regensburg, Germany, where she explored the decision making process of multidisciplinary cancer teams providing treatment recommendation in cancer care. Prior to joining the PhD programme, Laura has worked as a research and teaching assistant in the Department of Management, LSE. She was involved in numerous research projects exploring decision behaviour and implications for marketing and public policy. Alongside her research, she has been teaching undergraduate, summer school and executive students at the LSE.

Laura’s research focuses on exploring the positive and negative effects of physical activity on cognition and affect - psychological constructs which form the basis of decision making behaviour. She is currently investigating how regular physical activity can bolster people’s goal pursuit and willpower in different contexts – such as consumer choices.
