About me

Katsuhiko joined the PhD programme in October 2013. He completed an MSc Management, Organisations and Governance at LSE with Distinction. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from University of Kyoto in Japan. After finishing his undergraduate study, he joined Recruit Co Ltd, one of largest HR professional service providers in Japan, and engaged in research and consulting in human resource management.

Along with being a PhD student at LSE, he is currently serving as a visiting researcher at Institute for Organisational Behavioral Studies at Recruit Management Solutions Co Ltd in Japan.

His major interest is the influence of cultural and institutional environment to human resource management and organisational behaviour. His research brings multiple levels into analysis of multinational enterprises (MNEs). Currently, he is particularly interested in societal differences in social exchange relationship, antecedents and consequence of staffing practices at MNEs, and management of culture at MNEs.

Thesis Title: How Do Social Exchange Relationships Differ among Societies?
Investigating the Influence of Societal and Organisational Contexts to Exchange Preference.
