Professor of Management
Professor Rayo earned Bachelor and Master degrees in economics from ITAM in 1998 and a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University in 2002. He taught at Chicago Booth, ITAM, and the University of Utah before joining the LSE in 2012. Professor Rayo has written theoretical articles on a wide range of topics, including contract theory, incentives in firms, social status, voting in legislatures, and the biology of happiness. He has published with leading economists such as Ilya Segal, Nobel laureate Gary Becker, Douglas Bernheim, and Antonio Rangel. In 2012, Rayo earned the University of Utah Professional MBA Teaching Award.
