Dr Fei Qin

Biography

Dr Fei Qin's research focuses on transnational entrepreneurship and global value chains. She looks into how social processes and institutions shape work organization, entrepreneurial processes, and innovation capabilities in the context of globalization. For instance, her research has examined the international mobility of highly skilled personnel and technology entrepreneurs and its implications for organisation-level outcomes. She has also researched into management systems, particularly human resource systems, in
global value chains. She has led research projects in America, Asia, and Europe on the subjects of entrepreneurship and global business networks. Her research has appeared in top entrepreneurship, innovation, and labor/human resources journals. She is a recipient of the Emerald Citations of Excellence Award.

Dr Qin is the course leader of MSc course Leading Entrepreneurial Organisations in Global Markets. She has also taught on the subjects of enterprise development, international human resources management, innovation, and organizational leadership at Masters or executive level, as well as PhD research methods.

Dr Qin holds a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She was previously a Phelan Fellow at the International Labour Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland.
