Dr Beunza is Assistant Professor of Management at the London School of Economics. His research in sociology explores the ways in which social relations and technology shape financial value. Since 2007, Dr. Beunza has conducted a large-scale research project on the automation of the New York Stock Exchange, high frequency trading and the regulation of market microstructure. Dr. Beunza’s second long-term research project focuses on the emergence of the responsible investment field, including shareholder engagement, ESG data, thematic investment and the role of non-profit and non-governmental organizations.
