Biography
Carola Frege is Professor of Employment Relations. She is also Chair of the LSE Taskforce for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
Her main teaching is in 'comparative employment relations'. Her research focuses on union revitalization strategies and the transformation of workplace democracy in Europe and the USA; the social science traditions within employment research; job quality and wellbeing; as well as racism at work.
Professor Frege is the author of Employment Research and State Traditions (OUP), Social Partnership at Work: Workplace Relations in Post-Unification Germany (Routledge) and co-editor of Varieties of Unionism: Comparative Strategies for Union Renewal (OUP). Her work on comparative employment relations has appeared in journals such as American Sociological Review, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, British Journal of Industrial Relations, and Industrial Relations.
