Dr Armando Castro joined the Department of Management as a Fellow in 2017. Dr Castro holds a PhD in Management from Imperial College London and was visiting PhD student at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge (2016/2017). He also holds a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from LSE and a bachelor’s degree in economics (cum laude) from the University of Trento.
His research is interdisciplinary, spanning across the fields of Management and Organisation Theory to Economics and Sociology. More specifically, his research interest is in strategy, institutional trust and governance. He has presented his work at international conferences such as the Academy of Management Annual Meetings, European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) Colloquium, and Strategic Management Society Annual Conference. His work on corruption was published in the Journal of Management Inquiry.
Prior to his academic career, he worked as a consultant for the Brazilian and Italian governments, for international consultancy firms in strategic and business development and in financial markets.
